Sunday 6/5: Ice Cream Social 6:00pm
We are looking forward to our first swim meet this week! The deadline to signup is today at 5pm. Signup for the first Meet! Remember that we need lots of volunteers. Don't worry if you haven't done a job before, we will teach you! If your swimmer's availability changes after the deadline, please let us know.
5/31 Glenwood Park @Pangborn
Here are the details:
Arrive: 4:00-4:30
Home Team Warm-up: 5:00 (Volunteers check in while your swimmers are warming up)
Away Team Warm-up: 5:30
Meet Start: 6:00
Volunteers: If you are volunteering for the second half of the meet, please listen for the announcement to sub in.
Bull Pen: 12 and under swimmers should be in the bullpen throughout the meet. Encourage them to return to the Bull Pen after each race. The Home Team will use a portion of the grass behind the diving boards. The rest of the grassy area and tennis Pavilion may be used for the Away Team Bull Pen. Typically Away families will spectate from the lawn side of the pool. Pangborn typically spectates from the main entrance side of the pool.
Parking: Pangborn Families are asked to park on the street to allow guests space in the lot. Parking is allowed on one side of the street only on Millwood Way and Millwood Court.
Concessions: CASH ONLY. We will have a variety of snacks and meals available including Chic-fil-a, Pizza, and Pasta with butter & cheese. ALSO AVAILABLE: STRING BACKPACKS AND CAR MAGNETS.
Mark your swimmer's races on their arms: See attachment for "how to"
The heat sheet and individual races will be loaded but double check them after warmups to ensure nothing has changed.
What to bring:
- Positive attitude and good sportsmanship!
- Swimsuits and Goggles (good idea to bring a backup pair as well)
- Swim cap (See Staci if you still need a cap)
- 2 Towels (one for use during the meet and one for after the meet)
- Towels or blankets for swimmers to sit on
- Water bottle - it’s the summer and it will likely be hot out there. It’s important to stay hydrated!
- Optional: Chairs for parents or swimmer to sit in (folding is the best)
- Snacks - healthy snacks or anything that you prefer to go along with concessions
- Something to do - games, cards, books, coloring books. We highly discourage anyone from bringing any items that they (or you) would be sad (or angry!) if they became lost, such as electronics, etc.
- Bug spray
We can't wait to see you! Please let us know if you have any questions!
