The Swim Meet this afternoon is On! We are going to push through the weather and hope that any lightning or heavy rain passes quickly. Several new items to note:

• It is going to be chilly! Please bring several towels for your swimmer to dry off. Also, bring pants, hoodies, coats, etc. to keep your swimmer warm between events.
• Our bullpen is going to be in the Nottaway parking lot as this will be drier and less messy than the grassy area. If you have a chair for your swimmer, this may help keep them from sitting on the wet ground and therefore keep them drier/warmer.
• There are 2 PDFs attached at the bottom of this email.
  • Athlete Event List: This is an alphabetical list of all the athletes and what events they are swimming. Use this PDF to mark your swimmer’s arm.
  • Heat Sheets: Since we are placing all the 10 and under events first, the event numbers are not sequential. Please follow this PDF to understand tonight’s order of events.

FIRST SWIM MEET: AWAY vs. Nottaway Newts

• When: TODAY, Tuesday, May 27th
• Where: Nottaway Swim Club 3153 Hathaway Court Atlanta, GA 30341 (see map below)
• Time:
  • Arrive at 4:45pm
  • Warm-Ups: Pangborn 5:15pm – 5:45pm
  • Meet Start Time: 6:00pm
  • Check-In: We will have both a Swimmer and Volunteer Check-In. Please make sure you get checked in, so we know you are present.

• Other Logisitics:
  • What to Bring: Warm apparel noted above! Swimmers should wear their swimsuits and bring towels, goggles, and a swim cap if they wear one. We have extra swim caps if your swimmer needs one.
  • Parking: Please park in the adjacent Holy Cross Catholic Church parking lot or on one side of the street in the surrounding neighborhood (Hathaway Court, Rockaway Road, and Castaway Lane). Do not block driveways or park on corners. If you park in the Holy Cross Parking lot, please be kind and do not leave trash behind (it is Church Property). Better yet, just don’t be a litter bug and clean up after yourself no matter where you park. Do not park in the small Nottaway parking lot which is reserved for coaches, directors and officials.
  • Spectator Seating: Space around the pool deck is limited. The lawn area, closer to the turn end of the pool, is reserved for Pangborn families. Please keep chairs on the grassed area and off the concrete deck. Bring your own chairs or towels is sit on.
  • Bullpen: The bullpen area for Pangborn will be in the Nottaway parking lot.
  • Concessions: You are welcome to bring your own food and drink. There will also be a concession stand with various meal (including chick fil a sandwiches), snack, and candy options for your swimmers and parents. Cash and Venmo are accepted.
  • Special Needs Swimmers – Please note that Nottaway has a couple of special needs swimmers. Let’s cheer them on as we should all the swimmers!
  • Reminders – Summer swim league is meant to be fun! Be kind and respectful to the meet host, Nottaway, to all the athletes, volunteers, coaches, refs, and the Nottaway and Pangborn families. Let us be gracious guests.
